Team Benik Readies for Superkarts! USA Winter Series

“2023 kicks off this weekend”.
All of Team Benik's five drivers can win or podium this weekend in Homestead.

The start of a new season brings excitement as Team Benik will kick off their 2023 campaign at the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series this weekend at the AMR Motorplex in Homestead, Florida. Taking place in the shadows of the Homestead-Miami Speedway, the Fort Lauderdale-based program will enter five drivers between two classes as they look to start the season off on the right track.

“We have five drivers in Homestead as we start the season but several of them can win or podium in their respective classes,” explained Team Benik’s Nick Mitchell. “We will have four drivers in Mini Swift with a single entrant in the KA100 Junior class.”

A strong quartet of drivers will fly the Team Benik colors in Mini Swift, as Royce Vega and Troy Ferguson will make the jump up from the Micro Swift ranks. The Mini Swift rookies will join Kai Johnson and Marco Romero as they all look to build on the results and momentum gained from a solid 2022 campaign. In the junior ranks, Ava Dobson will enter the KA100 Junior class as she looks to kick off her season with a solid finish.

Mitchell continued, “It is the start of one of the busiest times of the season for us. We tested this past weekend and have two races to close out the month, with an additional five races and more testing in February and March. Our focus is fully on this weekend and earning the best results possible for each driver within our program.”

Set to hit the track on Thursday, Team Benik drivers will work towards the weekend where they will compete in rounds one and two on Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned to the Team Benik social media pages for news, information, photos, and results from the event weekend.
