Between confirmations and surprises, the riders brought home important points that outline a heart-pounding final part of the season. Over 150 registered for what has proven to be the most attended and exciting event to date. In a month, a night appointment in Lonato.

The Franciacorta Karting Track in Castrezzato (BS) hosted the fourth round of the Italian Karting Zone 1 Cup last weekend, with over 150 registered drivers confirming the growing interest in this competition now in its fourth round. Despite the variable weather conditions which represented an important unknown at the end, the race weekend offered intense emotions, compelling challenges and left a particularly exciting ranking situation.

In Mini GR3, the competition was close with French driver Augustin Feligioni taking victory, followed by Patrick Bissa and Luca Muzzolon. Some penalties shuffled the finishing positions, with Bissa who thanks to this episode recovered precious points in the standings, climbing to second place. Reversal for the leadership with Stuppia rising to the top and De Grandi falling to third place.

In Mini GR3 Under 10, success rewarded Daniel Pasquali, followed by David Moscardi and Filippo Frigerio, penalized but still leading the championship with a less important margin. Mario Roberti and Thomas Ometto, second and third respectively in the standings, finished in fifth and fourth position.

In KZ2 exceptional performances by Samuele Leopardi and Matteo Zanchi, followed by the Swiss Ethan Frigomosca. Timo Jungling, who started from third position, finished fifth, while category leader William Lanzeni had to play strategically in defence, despite a less convincing eleventh place, maintaining the leadership with over 25 points of margin.

The KZN Over category saw the victory of Andrea Tonoli with a wide margin over Marco Mosca, penalized for a violation of the starting procedures. Second position was therefore assigned to Luca Oliva, followed by Roger Ricco. With this result, Mosca consolidates its leading position in the championship, while Tonoli rises to third place.

In KZN Over 50, Paolo Gagliardini triumphed ahead of Ferruccio Alacqua and Marco Tessarolo. Here too some penalties affected the category, with Luca Levorato and Enzo Pirovano losing positions. Roberto Avanzato, leader of the ranking, finished in seventh position.

KZN Under saw the victory of Filippo Calligaris, who finished more than four seconds ahead of Matteo Dondi. Luca Gianassi took the third step of the podium, recovering precious points in the championship even if Luciano Medeghini maintains a rather important margin.

In OKN and OKN Junior Nicholas Tomasella and Cristian Tonalini consolidate their positions in the championship.

Camilla Romano, Karting Representative Zone 1:
“The enthusiasm and participation shown in this fourth round of the Italian Karting Zone 1 Cup are proof of how much this series is growing. I thank all the drivers and teams for the commitment and passion they showed on the track, and the Franciacorta circuit which organized a superlative fourth round. We can't wait to see how the championship will evolve in the next events starting from the Lonato night which will light up our sporting summer."

The appointment with the Italian Karting Zone 1 Cup will continue on 7 July at the South Garda Karting in Lonato, where the rankings of some categories could already decide the winners of the championship.
