The WSK Final Cup 2024 ended on a high note for the KR brand. The OK podium was filled entirely by drivers equipped with chassis from the Kart Republic factory, which also won in OK-Junior and OK-N. The KR-IAME packages were just as competitive in KZ2, Mini and OK-N Junior with pole-positions, heat wins and podiums. Congratulations to Britain's Noah Baglin (Prema Racing) and Italy's Nicolas Marchesi (Team Driver Racing Kart), who won the OK-Junior and OK-N categories respectively.

Coronel-Schaufler-Drummond: A hat-trick in OK
More than ever, OK remains one of KR's great specialities. 3rd in the OK-Junior World Championship in September and just promoted to OK, Rocco Coronel (VictoryLane) has already managed to win in this highly competitive category. Also from OK-Junior, Nicklas Schaufler (DPK Racing) followed in his wake with the fastest lap of the race, while Zac Drummond (Fusion Motorsport) completed the KR-IAME triumph in 3rd place. Had it not been for a broken throttle cable in the Final at Lonato, Schaufler would probably have clinched the title. The Austrian nevertheless finished runner-up. Lewis Francis (KR Motorsport), Iacopo Martinese (Cetilar Racing), Chiara Battig (VictoryLane) and Jacob Micallef (KR Motorsport) also made their presence felt in the top 12 at Cremona.

Victory for Hoogendoorn, the title for Baglin
Despite a start that saw him fall back to 6th position, Dean Hoogendoorn (KR Motorsport) showed great determination to set off successfully in pursuit of 1st place, which he already held after Qualifying. Noah Baglin (Prema Racing) was also very fast and secured the points for 6th place, which took him to the top of the overall WSK Final Cup standings. A group of KR-IAME drivers came a little further back with Bosco Arias (DPK Racing) in 8th place ahead of Arjen Kraeling (KR Motorsport), Valerio Viapiana (Team Driver Racing Kart) and Luka Scelles (VictoryLane).

Leonardo Gorski on the brink in OK-N Junior
Still competing in the Mini 60 class at the WSK Euro Series in September, Leonardo Gorski didn't take long to find his way to the podium in OK-N Junior. Winner of his three heats and the Super Heat, he led several laps in the Final. He lacked the experience to win, but his 2nd place is full of promise, as is his 3rd place overall. Oleksandr Legenkyi (Team Driver Racing Kart) and Will Green (KR Motorsport) finished P5 and P6 respectively with flying colours.

KR Motorsport was also delighted with the pole position achieved in Mini Group 3 by Lucas Palacio, who was still racing in the U10 category at the start of the season. The young driver also won a heat, but had too many incidents in the Final to follow up. In KZ2, the speed of Dmitry Matveev shone through, as he took pole position. In the end, it was Germany's Simon Rechenmacher (TB Racing Team) who took the best result in this category, crossing the line in 7th position.

‘KR Motorsport was determined to finish the season on a high note, as were the other teams representing the colours of our group. We worked in the right direction and this enabled us to place many drivers on the podium in Cremona, with excellent results in the overall standings of the WSK Final Cup. We still have a short off-season between now and the first races of 2025, but we intend to make the most of it to arrive with equipment that is still very competitive. At Cremona, we unveiled the first version of the evolution of the decoration kit, which now includes stickers on the inside of the bodywork. When we looked at the videos from the on-board cameras or certain photos taken from a specific angle, we realised that sometimes all you could see was white. Hence this new feature, which we're going to improve even further for next year.’
