KZ2 – On the occasion of the first event of the season, the VTZ engine climbs on the second step of the podium in the shifter kart category. In the qualifying session already, with Marijn Kremers (Tony Kart Racing Team), the Vortex unit sets the third best time and wins a victory, a second and a third place in the next qualifying heats.

OKJ - Throughout the weekend, the VTJ engine is the key point of the category. Starting from the pole position, Crisan leads the early stages of the Sunday afternoon's final and runs always to gain the victory. At the end of the 16 laps scheduled, the Canadian driver, being damaged by the heated tussle for the victory, finishes at the foot of the podium, preceding Frasnelli and Augustus Toniolo (Tony Kart Racing Team), both classified in the top ten list.
Moreover, the last race of the weekend sees at the staring grid three other drivers running with Vortex engines: Sini, Henri Constant Kumpen (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Nikita Ljubimov (Tony Kart Racing Team).
OK – A good beginning of the season is also achieved in the Senior category, with a third place as the best result in the qualifying heats, with Jindřich Pešl (Tony Kart Racing Team), fighting in the final for gaining a place in the top-ten list.
