After last year's triumph, Vortex once more gets on the "Junior" podium at the FIA Karting World Championship 2023, reserved for OK and OKJ classes, with Scott Kin Lindblom (Tony Kart Racing Team).

OKJ – VTJ engines distinguish themselves right from the start in the "Junior" category (with no less than 123 drivers at the start) with Jacob Micallef's (Ward Racing) best time in Group 1 of qualifying, Scott Marsh's (Tony Kart Racing Team) third place in Group 4, and Endo Arata (Ward Racing) and Scott Kin Lindblom (Tony Kart Racing Team) fourth in the second and third groups, respectively. In the qualifying heats, our engine gains three wins, two podiums and a fastest lap, to which another success in Sunday morning's Super Heat B is added.

The final sees Lindblom jumping from the third row on the grid and at the start he firmly holds his position. The Swedish driver quickly climbs to third place in the early stages and significantly reduces the gap on the top two drivers of the standings. At the end of the 20 laps scheduled, the Tony Kart Racing Team’s driver crosses the finish line taking the third step of the podium.

Making his debut in the FIA Karting World Championship, Davide Bottaro (Tony Kart Racing Team) recovers 6 positions compared to the start and achieves a Top 10 finish. Xiaoyu Sun (Ward Racing), Scott Marsh (Tony Kart Racing Team), Maria Germano Neto (Tony Kart Racing Team), and Thomas Quincé (Tony Kart Racing Team) also attend the final.

OK - In the master class of single-speed karts, VTS engines grab a third place in Group 3 with David Walther (Tony Kart Racing Team) and a fourth with Jules Caranta (private team) in Group 5. During the qualifying heats, drivers powered by Vortex engines collect one win, five podiums and two fastest laps, while in the Super Heats they achieve a Top 5 and an overall best lap time.

Sunday's final turns out to be quite eventful and greatly affected by several accidents, including a quick suspension due to the red flag displayed by the race management. Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart Racing Team) skilfully avoids any contact and finishes in the top ten, while Caranta retires on the last lap when running in eighth place. Also on track are Oscar Pedersen (Ward Racing), Walther, Kai Rillaerts (Tony Kart Racing Team), Sebastiano Pavan (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart Racing Team).
