The curtain falls on Sunday and the WSK Euro Series is thus archived at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli in Sarno (Italy). The afternoon finals saw victories for Mason Robertson (MINI Gr.3 U10), Daniel Mirón Lorente (MINI Gr.3), Jack Iliffe (OKJ), Scott Kin Lindblom (OK), Sebastian Eskandari-Marandi (OKN-J) and Juliusz Ociepa (OK-N). The new champions of the WSK Euro Series are Mason Robertson (MINI Gr.3 U10), Daniel Mirón Lorente (MINI Gr.3), Jack Iliffe (OKJ), Scott Kin Lindblom (OK), Billy Van Staveren (OKN-J) and Juliusz Ociepa (OK-N).

MINI Gr.3 U10: A masterful Mason Robertson completes the clean sweep

Tyres: Vega

  • Before the final, Mason Robertson (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME) already had a wide margin over the other contenders for the championship victory and could therefore afford to run a cautious race, but the vice-champion of the WSK Champions Cup at the beginning of the season did not want to settle. After winning the pre-final thanks to a clever maneuver on the last lap, the Babyrace Driver Academy representative repeated a similar maneuver in the final. Starting from the second place on the grid, the winner of the first round in Castrezzato slipped to fifth during the first lap, but maintained a disarming coolness and handled himself admirably in the lively brawl that characterized the race to compete for the victory in the very last lap.
  • Robertson finds himself behind Niccolò Perico (Energy Corse – Energy Corse – TM Kart) and, despite not needing to overtake him to win the title, he crosses the trajectory of the young Italian, busy defending, and crosses the finish line in first place. The English driver thus repeats his success in Franciacorta and becomes champion of the WSK Euro Series in the best possible way.
  • The Italian champion Niccolò Perico, one of the many drivers capable of leading at least one lap of the final ahead of everyone, must therefore settle for second place in both the race and the championship. The reigning champion of the WSK Champions Cup, the WSK Super Master Series and the WSK Open Series thus adds another trophy to his collection.
  • Stepan Mazepin (SM Racing – OTK – TM Kart) also tastes the leadership of the race for a moment, skillfully earning third place in the final to celebrate his first WSK podium.
  • Mark Loomets (Energy Corse – Energy Corse – TM Kart) saw his chances of fighting for the win vanish following a hectic start, starting from pole and completing the first lap in sixth place, before losing another three positions during the second lap. The reigning WSK Final Cup vice-champion then managed to recover some ground and concluded an excellent weekend in fourth place.
  • Also closing the weekend on a positive note were John Han (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME), fifth, Senn Lindeman (Birel ART Racing – Birel ART – TM Kart), sixth, Leon Chelidze (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME), seventh, and Rocco Simone (KidiX – KR – IAME), eighth.
  • The final was more bitter for Jean Poujol (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart - Vortex), who finished ninth. Starting from the ninth spot on the grid, the fresh winner of the WSK Super Cup takes the reins of the race on the third lap and moves away from the chasing group, giving the impression that he can fly towards success. However, the young Frenchman is caught by his opponents and on the sixth lap, in an attempt to defend himself from the attack of Antonio Ianni (CRG Racing Team – TGroup – TM Kart) after having already been overtaken by Perico, he comes into contact with the CRG Racing Team driver. Ianni is the one who gets the worst of it, spinning and sliding to the back of the group. The Italian nevertheless ends a very high-level weekend, even setting the fastest lap.
  • Colton Schniegenberg (Ward Racing – Tony Kart – TM Kart) completed the top ten thanks to an eight-position comeback, while two of the weekend's protagonists lost ground, such as Friday's poleman Xavier Lazaro (SM Racing – OTK – TM Kart), 13th, and the reigning Italian vice-champion Lorenzo Di Pietrantonio (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME), 14th after finishing the first lap ahead of everyone and still capable of winning the bronze medal in the championship.

MINI Gr.3: Daniel Mirón Lorente makes it a delicious double delight

Tyres: Vega

  • Amid the overtaking and counter-overtaking of an Oscar-worthy final, all the qualities of Daniel Mirón Lorente (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME) emerge. Starting from the fifth spot on the grid, the fresh winner of the WSK Super Cup takes the reins of the race on the third lap and proves unperturbed by the attacks of his opponents. Always responding in an exemplary manner to his rivals, the dominator of the first round in Castrezzato also wins in Sarno to become champion of the WSK Euro Series, thus repeating the success obtained last year in the MINI Gr.3 U10 category.
  • After finishing the first two laps of the final ahead of everyone, Oleksandr Legenkyi (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME) had to settle for second place, performing well in the lively brawl that characterized the race and crossing the checkered flag just 61 thousandths behind his teammate. The young Ukrainian repeated the podium obtained in the first round in Castrezzato, finishing third, and completing a one-two for Team Driver Racing Kart. Last year’s WSK Euro Series runner-up in the MINI Gr.3 U10 category confirmed his role as an absolute protagonist, even earning the bronze medal in the championship.
  • Santiago Diaz De La Vega Torr (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME) climbed onto a WSK podium for the first time, finishing third thanks to an extraordinary comeback of 11 positions.
  • Also finishing the weekend on a positive note are Alessandro Truchot (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME), who replicates the fourth place obtained in the first round at Castrezzato to become vice-champion of the WSK Euro Series, Manuel Martufi (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME), fifth, Albert Tamm (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME), sixth, Nikita Botte (Novalux – Lenzokart – LKE), seventh, and Oliveri Sini (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart – Vortex), eighth.
  • Building on the victory snatched in the pre-final with a seven-position comeback, Julian Frasnelli (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME) is also fighting for the win in the final, but on the fourth lap he comes into contact with Leonardo Gorski (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart – Vortex) while trying to overtake him. The reigning Italian champion loses ground and recovers to sixth place, but is then demoted to ninth by a three-second penalty, received precisely because he was deemed responsible for the accident with the Tony Kart Racing Team driver.
  • Gorski is even forced to retire following the contact and complains of pain in his hand, for which he is then visited at the medical center of the Naples International Circuit. TKART wishes him a speedy recovery.
  • Closing the top ten is an excellent Domenico Albanese (Albanese Luigi – Parolin – TM Kart) thanks to a seven-position comeback, while losing ground compared to the start are Antoni Ociepa (Novalux – Lenzokart – LKE), 17th after suffering a hectic start, and Friday's poleman and reigning WSK Open Series champion Stan Ratajski (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME), 18th after having inadvertently turned off the kart during a sharp braking while he was fighting for the victory.
  • Another protagonist, Zdenek Babicek (TEPZ Racing Team – MS – IAME), who set the fastest lap, left the scene early.

OKJ: What an incredible feat by Jack Iliffe, from last to first

Tyres: Vega

  • Seeing Jack Iliffe (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM Kart) last in qualifying without even a time recorded due to a contact that occurred at the beginning of the session, it was easy to imagine a great comeback, but a victory was much less predictable. After gaining five positions in the pre-final to triumph there too, the Forza Racing team driver starts from third place in the final and puts on another excellent performance. The young American keeps calm in the most hectic phases of the race, in which he even finds himself fourth, and on the seventh lap he takes back the reins of the race and never lets go. Iliffe thus takes his first success in OKJ and becomes champion of the WSK Euro Series.
  • A Forza Racing one-two is completed by an exceptional Devin Walz (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM Kart), who leads the race for three laps in the first phase of the final. The reigning champion of the WSK Final Cup in the MINI Gr.3 category performs well in the lively brawl that characterizes the race and celebrates his first podium in OKJ, embellishing it with the bronze medal in the championship.
  • A more experienced protagonist of the category also steps onto the podium, Filippo Sala (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN Kart – TM Kart), who repeats the third place obtained in the first round in Castrezzato. The Italian is the author of a furious comeback from the eighth spot on the grid and even manages to take the lead on the sixth lap, but then has to give in to the speed of the Forza Racing duo.
  • The one who crosses the finish line in third place is actually Gianmatteo Rousseau (Energy Corse – Energy Corse – TM Kart), another driver capable of leading at least one lap of the final in front of everyone. The young Panamanian is then demoted to ninth place by a five-second penalty due to the nose in the incorrect position, but still concludes a more than promising debut with the Energy Corse colors.
  • Also finishing an encouraging weekend were Williams Racing Driver Academy driver Dean Hoogendoorn (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME), fourth, Bosco Arias (DPK Racing – KR – IAME), fifth, Arjen Kraeling (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME), sixth and fastest lap, WSK Super Cup and WSK Open Series OKN-J champion Ilia Berezkin (Monster K Factory Team – CRG – TM Kart), seventh, Mats Van Rooijen (P.S.A. Van Rooijen – Tony Kart – TM Kart), eighth, and Qarrar Firhand (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM Kart), tenth.
  • Iskender Zulfikari (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM Kart), on the other hand, lost a top ten spot following a five-second penalty due to an incorrectly positioned nose cone, relegated from tenth to 16th.
  • Friday's poleman Maxim Bobreshov (Fusion Motorsport – KR – IAME) also received the same penalty, relegating him from 14th to 18th place.
  • It was an even more bitter epilogue for Roman Kamyab (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN Kart – TM Kart), who started from pole and finished the first lap of the final in front of everyone, but was then hit by Mariano Lopez (Fusion Motorsport – KR – IAME) at the end of the second lap. Both drivers were forced to retire just as they were fighting for second place (also slowing down Jack Iliffe, involuntarily involved in the contact), but the dominator of the first round in Castrezzato still became vice-champion of the WSK Euro Series.

OK: An imperturbable Scott Kin Lindblom takes it all

Tyres: LeCont

  • Obviously, dominating the first round in Castrezzato wasn’t enough for Scott Kin Lindblom (Fusion Motorsport – KR – IAME) and so he decided to repeat the feat in Sarno. After winning all the heats and the pre-final, the Red Bull Junior Team driver started determined from pole and built up more than a second of advantage over his closest pursuers at the end of the first lap. The Fusion Motorsport team driver thus flew towards another success to put the icing on the cake and become champion of the WSK Euro Series.
  • Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM Kart) performed equally well, coming second in his absolute debut in the premier category of single-speed karting. The reigning European OKJ vice-champion got off to a good start from fourth on the grid and moved into second position already on the second lap to launch himself in pursuit of Lindblom. The young Spaniard fails to close the gap between him and his opponent, but the All Road Management protégé still sets the fastest lap and completes an excellent weekend, becoming vice-champion of the WSK Euro Series with only one round contested in OK.
  • Friday's poleman Niklas Schaufler (DPK Racing – KR – IAME) also concludes a debut with flying colours in OK, third thanks to an excellent comeback of four positions. The driver supported by Red Bull and reigning champion of both the WSK Super Master Series and the WSK Champions Cup in the OKJ category reaffirms his competitiveness and gives hope for the next events of the season.
  • An equally promising weekend ends with Alp Aksoy (Fusion Motorsport – KR – IAME), fourth, Bernardo Bernoldi (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME), fifth, Oliver Kinnmark (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME), sixth in his first race in OK and third in the championship with only one round contested.
  • Closing the top ten are Jindrich Pesl (Monster K Factory Team – CRG – TM Kart), seventh, Markas Silkunas (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME), eighth, Ludovico Busso (Monster K Factory Team – CRG – TM Kart), ninth in his first appearance with the Monster K Factory Team, and Vivek Kanthan (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM Kart), tenth.
  • A protagonist of the weekend, Elliot Kaczynski (Ward Racing – Tony Kart – TM Kart), was forced to retire, stopped by a problem while he was in third position.

OKN-J: An unstoppable Sebastian Eskandari-Marandi dominates, while Billy Van Staveren is crowned champion

Tyres: Vega

  • The plans for Sunday change: after having raced together during the qualifying and heats, the OK-N and OKN-J are separated for the pre-finals and finals. The one who does not change plans, however, is Sebastian Eskandari-Marandi (Ward Racing – Tony Kart – Vortex). Friday's poleman and reigning Italian vice-champion confirms himself unreachable for all his opponents and, after having dominated all the heats as well as the pre-final, also writes a monologue in the final to take his first success in OKN-J. The Ward Racing team driver crosses the finish line with over seven seconds of advantage over his closest pursuer and even signs the fastest lap, becoming vice-champion of the WSK Euro Series.
  • Consistency rewards Billy Van Staveren (Modena Kart – Parolin – TM Kart). The Modena Kart team driver maintains a disarming coolness following a complicated start from the second spot on the grid, which sees him drop from second to eighth. Despite slipping to ninth place during the third lap, the young Dutchman manages to take advantage of the tense moments of the race and recover in great style to repeat the second place obtained in the first round in Castrezzato and thus become champion of the WSK Euro Series.
  • Bruno Blanco (LA Motorsport – Parolin – TM Kart) also handles himself admirably in the brawl of the final, passing third under the checkered flag to win his first WSK podium. Just like Van Staveren, the LA Motorsport team driver suffers a complicated start from the third row, but then expresses all his competitive aggression to climb to third place, making the decisive overtaking at the end of the last lap.
  • Lucas Bonhomme (Moni Nicolas – Tony Kart – Vortex), fourth, Giuseppe Piccolo (GPM Racing Kart – KR – IAME), sixth, the vice-champion in charge of both the WSK Super Master Series (ranking sub judice) and the WSK Champions Cup Alex Molota (Firefly Racing Team – Gillard – TM Kart), seventh, and Valerio Viapiana (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME), eighth, completed a top-level weekend after having fought for the podium. Forced to retire at the start of the pre-final after being involved in a scary accident together with Vsevolod Osadchyi Suslovskyi (Monster K Factory Team – CRG – TM Kart), fortunately without consequences for both drivers, the Team Driver Racing Kart driver occupied second place for more than half the race, while he suffered a problem with a tire in the final phase of the final.
  • Osadchyi Suslovskyi closes the final in tenth place, behind Antonio Reginaldo Pizzonia Neto (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME). Ninth place is enough for the winner of the first round in Castrezzato to secure the bronze medal in the championship at the end of a difficult weekend.
  • After climbing to the third step of the podium in the first round in Castrezzato, Giacomo Giusto (Modena Kart – Parolin – TM Kart) returns to the top of the standings thanks to an extraordinary comeback of 13 positions that takes him up to fifth place.
  • However, a protagonist of the weekend such as Prokhor Solukovtsev (DR – DR – Modena Engines) is forced to retire.

OK-N: A flawless monologue by Juliusz Ociepa

Tyres: Vega

  • Juliusz Ociepa (Novalux – Lenzokart – LKE) withstands the pressure of a weekend dominated from start to finish and triumphs in style. The Novalux team driver gets off to a strong start from pole and already has almost a second of advantage over his closest pursuers at the end of the first lap, then increasing it to more than two seconds before crossing the finish line. After earning second place in the first round in Castrezzato, Friday's poleman takes his first WSK success in Sarno, even setting the fastest lap and becoming champion of the WSK Euro Series.
  • Nicolas Marchesi (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME) also confirms himself as an absolute protagonist of the category, second in the final and third in the championship. Despite losing his second place at the start, the fresh winner of the WSK Super Cup gets back to the starting position before the end of the first lap. Despite nibbling a tenth on Ociepa during the second lap, the Italian then had to surrender to the supremacy of his opponent.
  • Maria Luisa Della Pietra (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME) climbed onto the podium thanks to a surprising four-position comeback, winning the bronze medal. The young driver celebrated her first WSK podium and made the Team Driver Racing Kart weekend even more enjoyable.
  • The reigning WSK Final Cup champion Lamberto Ferrari (FK Motorsport – IPK – Modena Engines) came close to the podium once again, finishing fourth. Leon Hedfors (DR – DR – Modena Engines) also came close to the podium, having climbed to second place in the pre-final and able to move into second place even at the start of the final, before being overtaken by Marchesi.
  • Salvatore Toscano (Novalux – Lenzokart – LKE) finished the final in sixth place after finishing the pre-final in third place.
  • Bati Ege Yildirim (Modena Kart – Parolin – TM Kart) was instead forced to retire. The winner of the first round in Castrezzato still managed to become vice-champion of the WSK Euro Series, returning to the top of the standings after having won the championship last year.
