Activity continues on the track for the Round 4 of the WSK Super Master Series on the Cremona Karting circuit (Italy). After the first day of Friday, in which the qualifications and the first qualifying heats took place, on Saturday all the remaining heats for the five categories present in the race were held: KZ2, OK, OKJ, MINI Gr.3 and MINI Gr.3 U10 The starting grids for Sunday’s pre-finals were then decided.

KZ2: three Sodikarts in the lead, Senna Van Walstijn first

Tyres: Vega

  • Sodikart goes on the counterattack in the three heats following the qualifications. Senna Van Walstijn (Sodikart – Sodikart – TM) wins the race on Friday afternoon and replies in the second race on Sunday morning, to then finish fifth in the last one. In this way, the Dutchman climbs to the top of the intermediate classification.

  • Behind Van Walstijn we find his teammate Emilien Denner (Sodikart – Sodikart – TM) and Yevan David (CPB Sport – Sodikart – TM). Precisely these two are the protagonists in a good duel in the third heat, with the young Sri Lankan rider taking the victory ahead of the French. However, Denner is in second place in the standings, while David is third.

  • An engine problem puts Freddie Slater (Birel Art Racing – Birel Art – TM) offside in the first heat and a retirement in the second complicates things even more. The Briton made up for it in the last race with a comeback of 16 positions, but at the moment he is lingered in 19th position.

  • Cristian Bertuca (Birel Art Racing – Birel Art – TM) inherits the baton from teammate Slater and becomes the first pursuer of the three Sodikart drivers. The Italian, current championship leader, makes no mistakes and stabilizes in fourth position. Instead, a small mistake in the third heat costs Matteo Viganò (Leclerc by Lennox Racing – Birel Art – TM) a probable victory: the Italian still gains fifth position.

  • Giuseppe Palomba (Birel Art Racing – Birel Art – TM) climbs 9 positions, sixth in the standings and followed by Alessio Piccini (Birel Art Racing – Birel Art – TM), seventh. An accident (and consequent retirement) in the third heat puts Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart – Vortex) back tenth, behind his teammates Jean Luyet (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart – Vortex) and Samuel Luyet (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart – Vortex), respectively eighth and ninth.

  • The ranking continues with Karol Pasiewicz (Novalux – Lenzokart – LKE), 11th, Maxim Rehm (Leclerc by Lennox Racing – Birel Art – TM), 12th, Francesco Celenta (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM), 13th, Michele Fontana (Kartxxl Racing Team – Birel Art – TM), 14th, and Daniel Vasile (Birel Art Racing – Birel Art – TM), 15th. 22nd Alex Maragliano (Maranello SRP Factory Team – Maranello – TM).

  • No one can get in the way of Thomas Strauven (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME). The Belgian is not satisfied with yesterday's pole position and, on the contrary, scores a series of four victories in the qualifying heats, to which is also added a fastest lap as icing on the cake. With this pace, the KR Motorsport driver is the number one candidate to win tomorrow's final.

  • Concreteness also from teammate Luviwe Sambudla (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME). The South African scores two victories (and two fastest laps) on Friday, then collects three third places on Saturday: in this way he obtains the second position in the intermediate classification.

  • Kirill Kutskov (DPK Racing – KR – IAME) stands out for a win and two fastest laps in the qualifying heats and, at the end of the day, climbs into third position. Louis Iglesias (CRG Racing Team – CRG – IAME) remains in the positions of the classification, even if he goes from second place to fourth.

  • Nathan Tye (Sodikart – Sodikart – TM) shows off with a climb of 7 positions and the momentary fifth position. Sebastiano Pavan (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart – Vortex) also stands out in the qualifying heats: 12 positions recovered for the Italian, now sixth. Seventh position for a consistent Maciej Gladysz (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN – Vortex).

  • Aleksander Bogunovic (DPK Racing – KR – IAME) and Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM) both staged a comeback of 16 positions and are respectively eighth and tenth. In the middle we find the outsider Simon Rechenmacher (TB Racing Team – KR – IAME).

  • Just outside the Top 10 are Xavier Avramides (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME), 11th, and the current championship leader James Egozi (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart – Vortex), 12th. Followed by Miguel Costa (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM), 13th, and Enzo Tarnvanichkul (Prema Racing – KR – IAME), 14th also due to a retirement in the first heat. Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart – Vortex) is instead 17th.

  • Tomass Stolcermanis (Energy Corse – Energy Corse – TM) and René Lammers (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM) both recover 10 positions and are respectively 18th and 19th. Jimmy Helias (Ward Racing – Tony Kart – Vortex) and Nicolò Cuman (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM) slip back, 20th and 25th.

  • After encountering a steering problem during qualifying, David Walther (Koski Motorsport – Tony Kart – Vortex) tries a difficult climb from 51st position. The Dane, at the end of the heats, is 24th.

Tyres: Vega

  • After missing pole position yesterday by a matter of 76 thousandths of a second, Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport - Parolin - TM) rolled up his sleeves and proved himself: three victories, a second place and a sixth place deservedly bring the Spaniard into top of the intermediate ranking.

  • Clear path also for Thibaut Ramaekers (VDK Racing – KR – IAME), capable of hitting three victories and also setting three fastest laps. The Belgian then moved from fourth position to second and is a candidate as Costoya's main rival for Sunday.

  • The qualifying heat A-D closed in 17th position ruining the scorecard of David Cosma Cristofor (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME). The Romanian, who took pole position yesterday, achieved three victories like Costoya and Ramaekers, but at the same time dropped to third position.

Scott Kin Lindblom (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart – Vortex) is stable in fifth place, while Lewis Wherrell (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM) signs a comeback of 19 positions and grabs sixth place.

  • Stepan Antonov (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME) recovers two positions and is momentarily 14th. On the contrary, Oleksandr Bondarev (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME) loses 6 positions and drops to 19th, thanks to a retirement in heat A-D. Remarkable climb by Alp Hasan Aksoy (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart – Vortex), from 71st to 25th. The current championship leader Salim Hanna Hernandez (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN – Vortex) is still delayed, 34th.
