Kart Republic wins five of the six titles in the WSK Super Master Series!

22 March 2025

The major WSK Promotion series came to a close on the Viterbo circuit with a real plebiscite for the KR chassis, which took the championship titles in five categories: OK, OK-Junior, OK-N Junior, Mini 60 Group 3 and Mini U10. The Italian brand, its official team and its satellite teams scored a series of victories in the five events held between January and March on internationally renowned circuits. After this exceptional start to the season, Kart Republic is now ready to take on new challenges in other competitions...

OK: Another podium for Van Langendonck, 2025 Champion
The Prema Racing team and its driver Van Langendonck (P3) remained focused right to the end to go for the title in weather conditions that remained uncertain north of Rome. His team-mate Kenzo Craigie put in a fine effort to cross the finish line in 2nd position, before being demoted to 6th because of a penalty (spoiler). In preparation for the forthcoming FIA Karting Championships, Joe Turney (KR Motorsport) was often part of the leading group and ended up in 4th place. A total of 13 KR chassis made up the top 16 in the Final. Overall, Iacopo Martinese (Cetilar Racing) took 5th place ahead of Zak Drummond (Fusion Motorsport).

OK-Junior: Hoogendoorn reaps the rewards of his achievements
Hoogendoorn battled for the podium in each of the five races, winning in particular at Sarno and Lonato. His 4th place in Viterbo was enough for him to take the crown from his own Prema Racing team-mate, Noah Baglin, who was just four points away. In the Final, the Briton finished 2nd ahead of three other KR-IAME drivers: Devin Walz (KR Motorsport), Hoogendoorn and Will Green (KR Motorsport). Slightly younger than his brother, Drew Walz also showed off his skills by starting 3rd in the Final.

OK-N Junior: Victory and title for Lucas Palacio
Unwell a week earlier in Franciacorta, Lucas Palacio (KR Motorsport) arrived in Viterbo in top form and showed it by dominating the Final, securing top spot in the final standings of the WSK Super Master Series. In Viterbo, the KR-IAME top 10 was completed by Oleksandr Legenkyi (Team Driver Racing Kart) P3, Téo Policand (VictoryLane) P4, Many Nuvolini (Prema Racing) P6 and Huifei Xie (KR Motorsport) P9.

Mini: KR crowned twice
When Niccolo Perico (Team Driver Racing Kart) arrived at the Leopard circuit, he wasn't in the most favourable situation in the Mini 60 'Group 3', with 76 points to make up on his main rival. But the young Italian did the job, winning the final corners of the Final with great talent. Like the young Italian, Josh Bergman (Kidix Driver Performance) was also crowned champion this season after an impressive performance in the Mini U10 class: five podiums including three wins in five events and a lead of over 100 points in the overall standings, with team-mate Wynn Godschalk on the third step of the podium.

Comments from Glenn Keyaert, KR Global Motorsport Company

"It was a tough WSK Super Master Series, with a lot of drivers entered and a lot of good teams to beat. Not to mention the frequently changing weather conditions, as was the case at Viterbo. The technical staff at KR Motorsport and all the teams defending the colours of Kart Republic were always able to react with their usual expertise and professionalism. They are to be congratulated, as are the drivers, who have racked up a string of excellent results."

"Winning five titles out of six is quite incredible, but it's also undeniable proof of the competitiveness of the KR-IAME packages. We had to stay focused from the first competition at La Conca to the last at Viterbo, because the WSK points scale favours drivers who win races at the end of the Championship. However, each victory has the same value, whatever the circuit and its position in the calendar. In the end, only KZ2 escaped us, but we weren't involved in all the events in this category."
