Marra61 Kart Racing Team triumphed again at the ROK Cup Superfinal and did so in the 2022 edition, which took place last October 19-22 at the South Garda Karting in Lonato. The Italian team, among the protagonists of the whole weekend, achieved success in the Junior ROK class with Filippo Parmeggiani, already on the podium of the ROK Cup Trophy in preparation for the Vortex and ROK Cup "world championship". With this result, the Marra61 Kart Racing Team continues its winning tradition in the ROK Cup Superfinal after having already triumphed in the past in the Super ROK (2008 and 2009), in the ROK as engine specialists (2011) and in the Senior ROK (2018), and after having won four ROK Cup Italia titles (2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021).

A COMPLETE AND PROFESSIONAL RACING DEPARTMENT
The Marra61 Kart Racing Team can count on its own racing department, structured into different divisions, depending on the type of work carried out. In the chassis department, the karts are dismantled, cleaned and the surfaces checked after each activity on the track, to then be completely restored in view of the next sporting event. Then there is the area dedicated to the dismantling and overhauling of the engines which includes a room used exclusively for mechanical processes (such as lapping, milling, turning and centering of the drive shafts). However, the heart of the Marra61 racing department is the "Research and Development" division, in which all the technical refinements relating to the engines take shape, thanks also to the use of test benches.

FOCUS ON: ROK SUPERFINAL 2022
A continuous improvement in performance for Parmeggiani throughout the week. The Marra61 Kart Racing Team driver proved to be fast and competitive in the five qualifying heats scheduled, culminating in a total of three podium finishes and a third place in the intermediate classification. However, in Saturday's decisive final, the driver with a license from the United Arab Emirates was not satisfied with a podium position and, thanks to a "wait and see" strategy, launched the winning attack on the penultimate lap which, in fact, allows him to pass first under the chequered flag.
Lorenzo Bedetti's performance in the Senior ROK should also be underlined. The Italian driver recorded the second fastest time in the qualifiers and achieved a victory and a second place in the qualifying heat but was forced to take part in the final from the rear; in the end, with a remarkable comeback of 14 positions, he managed to finish seventh at the finish line of the final. A positive end to the season for Bedetti who, driving for the Marra61 Kart Racing Team, also fought for the title of the ROK Cup Italia, finishing third overall in the championship.
In terms of numbers, an ample participation for the Marra61 Kart Racing Team in the ROK Cup Superfinal, with a total of 11 drivers competing in the Mini ROK, Junior ROK, Senior ROK and Expert ROK classes. And that's not all, because 6 other participants, all coming from outside Italy, used Alessandro Marrapese's team for the supply of engines. Among these, the Maltese Lucas Pace who recovered 24 positions in the Senior ROK OMP Trophy and achieved the lowest step on the podium.
