TBKART R-EVO Championship: the Arrive & Drive one-make series built for pure competition

TBKART launches the R-EVO Championship, an Arrive & Drive one-make series that uses real racing karts equipped with TBKART S197 chassis and Rotax Max Junior Evo two-stroke engines. 

It must be said that in today’s karting landscape, one-make series are becoming an increasingly appreciated formula among drivers. They offer a controlled technical environment, predictable and contained costs, as well as competition where the driver’s value emerges more clearly. In addition, in recent years Arrive & Drive programs have become increasingly popular, allowing drivers to focus only on driving, while a single supplier takes care of the kart. 

It is precisely on these principles that the TBKART R-EVO Championship was created: a national series designed to offer a structured and competitive sporting experience, while maintaining a balance between performance, accessibility and cost control. 

The championship is built around a clear philosophy: providing all participants with a common technical base and a real racing kart, so that the result on track depends mainly on driving skills and consistency of performance.

The TBKART R-EVO Championship Italy is reserved for two main categories: 

• Senior Light (minimum age 13 years)
• Senior Heavy (minimum age 15 years)

Both categories, with a maximum of 36 drivers each, share a common technical base consisting of: 

• TBKART S197 chassis 
• Rotax Max Junior Evo engine 

The difference between the categories concerns the minimum combined weight of kart + driver, set at: 

• 160 kg for Senior Light 
• 170 kg for Senior Heavy 

This division broadens participation while maintaining greater competitive balance between drivers with different physical characteristics.

The championship consists of six events, each featuring a race format designed to give drivers more opportunities to compete. 

During each event, Race 1 and Race 2 will be held, both valid for championship points. 

This system increases total driving time and makes the standings more representative of the drivers’ consistency throughout the season. 

For the final classification, the ten best results obtained during the season will be taken into account, with no possibility of discarding missed races or disqualifications.

The TBKART R-EVO Championship offers a total prize fund of €30,000, awarded to the best drivers of the season and to the winning nation. 

At the end of the championship, the top three drivers in each category will receive the following prizes: 

1st place (Senior Light and Senior Heavy) Voucher worth €10,000 to participate in a national or international competition within the TBKART Racing Team 2027 calendar, racing as an official driver. 

2nd place Voucher worth €1,000 to be used during the 2027 R-EVO Championship season. 

3rd place Voucher worth €500 to be used during the 2027 R-EVO Championship season. 

A special prize is also dedicated to participating nations: 

Nation Award 

The nation achieving the highest overall score will receive a €7,000 prize, equally divided between the two drivers of that nation who have scored the highest number of points in the final standings.

One of the key elements of the championship philosophy is technical uniformity. 

All participants use: 

• TBKART S197 chassis 
• Rotax Max Junior Evo engine 
• Shinko one-make tyres 

Engines are sealed and assigned by random draw by the organization, with procedures designed to guarantee equal conditions among participants. This approach ensures maximum transparency and fairness regarding the technical component of the events.

The race day includes: 

• official free practice 
• qualifying session 
• Race 1 and Race 2, both valid for championship points 

This format increases the actual racing time and gives drivers more opportunities to improve their results during the event.

The TBKART R-EVO Championship season takes place across several Italian circuits, giving drivers the chance to compete on tracks with different characteristics. 

The circuits hosting the rounds include: 

• 05.04.2026 – Cremona Circuit – Round 1 
• 21.06.2026 – Pista Winner – Round 2 
• 19.07.2026 – Franciacorta Karting Track – Round 3 
• 09.08.2026 – Franciacorta Karting Track – Round 4 
• 18.10.2026 – Pista Azzurra Borgoticino – Round 5 
• 22.11.2026 – Franciacorta Karting Track – Round 6 

This variety of circuits enriches the technical level of the championship and challenges drivers in different racing contexts.
