Sodikart tests the new “blown” front panel in Campillos

At the Circuito Internacional de Campillos, on the occasion of the third round of the Champions of the Future and the single race of the FIA Karting World Championship OK-OKJ, Sodikart is testing a brand new number plate fairing during free practice on Thursday.

For years, aerodynamic optimization has taken hold in the karting scene: just think of the investments in this field made by Parolin Racing Kart with its "Dynamica" kit (also used by KR and Alonso Kart) and by OTK Kart Group (for the Tony Kart, Kosmic, Exprit brands ...) with the M6 fairings and the M7 number plate spoilers (for the Junior and Senior categories) and M8 (for the MINI), recognizable by their now typical "open channel".

Sodikart is also moving in this direction and, precisely in Spain, a particular front panel with a tunnel has appeared. The air, instead of impacting directly against the number holder spoiler and against the rider's helmet, shoulders and arms, is channeled into a lower opening present in the number holder spoiler and then being "expelled" in the upper area of the same. This, theoretically, should improve the aerodynamic efficiency of the kart itself.

We do not know if this new solution will actually be used in the future, but it is clear that Sodikart is testing it on the most reliable test bench, a top-level race with other competitors on the track, to evaluate its goodness and then move on - in case it leads. concrete benefits - to the 2022 homologation scheduled for this final period of the season.
