Well done!
Wrong!
“The carburetor must always be emptied to prevent the fuel left inside ruining the membranes. If the kart is left for as short while there is no need to dismantle it. It is sufficient to blow through the refuelling cowl with the calibration pump. However, if a long period of inactivity is expected, it is better to dismantle it completely, put it in a closed plastic bag and store in a dry place”.

A very good driver and an excellent engineer. He was an official Iame tuner and, after his retirement from racing, the owner of Nordikas, a reference point for kart drivers in Milan for quite a while.

“Yes, the engine runs better with carbon fibre reedvalves. The key aspect is the stiffness of the material, because, for the same thickness, carbon reed valves are more rigid and, therefore, can be much thinner and lighter to move. Another advantage is better adhesion to theirhousing, which results in a virtually airtight seal when the pistondescends. This gives better engine efficiency. The only problem is that they are more expensive than those made of fibreglass. Warning: the advantage in terms of time is a just a few hundredths...”.
