Reed valves, with the normal use of the engine, can break or chip causing, in the worst case scenario the withdrawal from the competition. Therefore, after every day of practice or competition it is always useful to check their status. To implement this action, the best method is to remove them from the reed valve pack and look at them against the light so as to see if the reed valves have cracks that may not be visible at first sight.
