HOMOLOGATION
The KK chassis has been homologated under FIA Karting standards since 2022 with the code 033-CH-05. As part of the new 2025 homologation cycle, Lenzokart has renewed this model, extending its fiche validity until the end of 2027. Since 2018, in fact, FIA Karting regulations have allowed homologations to remain valid indefinitely, provided the manufacturer pays an annual fee. (For more details, see... “Special | FIA approvals: what they are, what they are for, how long they last... The ultimate guide!”).

CONFIGURATION
The KK chassis is homologated for use in both Single-Speed and Shifter configurations. These are two separate versions that differ in several key technical aspects. In the Single-Speed version – which is the focus of this article – the chassis does not feature welded brackets on the frame for either the gear lever or the exhaust silencer, both of which are present on the Shifter version. Furthermore, In the Shifter configuration, the bearing carriers are approximately 30 mm taller than the Single Gear version and feature six additional slots (three on each side), providing extra mounting points for the bearing flanges and allowing for improved lateral support.

TUBES DIAMETER
The chassis of the KK is built using 30 mm diameter tubes with a wall thickness of 2 mm.

MANUAL

WELDING
Lenzokart performs chassis welding in-house, relying on skilled technicians who carry out the process manually using the continuous wire welding technique. Since 2022, the company – led by Nino and Michele Lenzo – has been collaborating with the IIS (Italian Institute of Welding) to optimise this process, with the goal of limiting material overheating and preserving the chemical composition of the tubes, while ensuring high-quality welds.

ACCESSORIES
As for components, the standard KK chassis is fitted with both aluminium parts – such as the wheel hubs – and magnesium parts, including the rims. Lenzokart also offers its customers several options, allowing them to choose between the two materials based on their specific needs.

May 2025 update

With the new homologation cycle for the 2025–2027 period – covering chassis, braking systems, bodywork and bumpers – Lenzokart has confirmed the homologation of the KK model: a chassis first introduced in 2022, originally developed specifically for the Single-Speed classes, but also available in a Shifter version. In the Single-Speed configuration – which is the focus of this article – the 2025 model year KK retains the same frame geometry as its predecessor, but introduces several updates, both in terms of the standard components and the range of optional extras offered by the Italian manufacturer. Among the most notable upgrades are the adoption of the new KG 509 front spoiler and nassau panel, the use of new wheel hubs and rims, and a completely redesigned steering wheel – improved in both shape and construction materials.

We had the chance to explore all these innovations up close during our visit to Lenzokart’s headquarters in Brolo, in the province of Messina, on the north-eastern coast of Sicily. Here’s what we found.

The KK has undergone not only technical updates, but also aesthetic ones. The first and most noticeable change is undoubtedly the new sticker kit that adds colour to the Lenzokart chassis. The colour scheme – featuring blue, white and yellow, the brand’s signature colours – remains unchanged, but the graphic design has been completely revamped compared to the 2022 version.
