FIA KARTING

HOMOLOGATION
Since 2022, the Ramses chassis has been homologated according to FIA Karting standards with code 033-CH-10. For the 2025 homologation cycle, Lenzokart has confirmed this model, extending the duration of its certification until the end of 2027. In fact, since 2018, the FIA Karting regulation provides that homologations last indefinitely, provided that the manufacturer pays an annual fee (For further information, read "Dossier | FIA approvals: what they are, what they are for, how long they last... the definitive guide!").

CONFIGURATION
The Ramses is a frame that, due to its characteristics and structure, was designed specifically for the Shifter classes. However, a specific frame variant is available for the Direct Drive classes, which differs from the geared version in that it lacks mountings for the gear lever and the bearing pillars, which are approximately 30 mm lower. The Shifter version of the Ramses (the one analyzed in this article), thanks to its higher pillars, accommodates three pairs of slots (each with three mounting points), instead of the two found on the Single-Gear.

TUBES DIAMETER
The Ramses frame, with its side and cross members, is made exclusively of 32 mm diameter, 2 mm thick tubes.

MANUAL

WELDING
Lenzokart performs chassis welding in-house, relying on specialized technicians who operate manually using the continuous wire technique. Since 2022, the company, led by Nino and Michele Lenzo, has collaborated with the IIS (Italian Welding Institute) to optimize this process, with the aim of limiting material overheating and preserving the chemical composition of the tubes, while ensuring high-quality welds.

ACCESSORIES
Regarding components, the standard Ramses chassis is equipped with both aluminum accessories, such as the hubs, and magnesium, such as the rims. Lenzokart offers its customers various options, allowing them to choose between the two materials based on their needs.

September 2025 update

The new 2025-2027 homologation cycle, which concerns chassis, braking systems, fairings, and bumpers, sees Lenzokart confirm the Ramses model, in addition to the KK (for more information, read "Under Review | KK, the Lenzokart chassis specifically for the Single-Gear classes [2025 Update]"). Designed specifically for the Shifter classes, but also available, with unique features, in a Single Gear configuration, this chassis was presented for the first time in 2022. Since then, the studies and developments conducted by Nino and Michele Lenzo's company have introduced several innovations obviously aimed at increasing performance on the track. The updates, partly linked to the evolution of the regulations, have involved significant technical aspects and have resulted in several new features, including: the KG 509 fairing kit, redesigned hubs and rims, and the steering wheel, with an updated shape. There are therefore several changes to be analyzed compared to the 2022 model year, even though the body shape has remained unchanged compared to the past.

We had the opportunity to explore all these innovations in greater detail at the Lenzokart headquarters in Brolo (a small town in the Sicily region of Italy), where the manufacturer's technicians showed us all the implemented solutions in detail.

The Ramses, like the rest of Lenzokart's 2025 chassis range, introduces several technical innovations, but it also features a visual refresh, both in terms of the fairings and the sticker kit. The latter maintains the same color scheme, with blue, yellow, and white (the brand's signature colors), but compared to 2022, it features a completely revised graphic design.
