At the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve (Portugal), site of the 2024 edition of the FIA Karting World Championship KZ, OTK Kart Group's “engine division” sets the fastest time in the qualifying heats with the VTZ engine, in the KZ2 Masters category.

KZ2 Masters – The Vortex VTZ presents itself in good shape at the highlight event of the season, after the podium conquered at the Champions of the Future Euro Series Shifters host two weeks earlier right on the Portimão track. In fact, the qualifyings record the pole position of Andre Nicastro (Tony Kart Racing Team), author of the best time of 1:10.664 seconds, also able to collect two top-3 places in the qualifying heats and a second place in super heat A.

Nicastro is also among the main protagonists of the Sunday afternoon's final: constantly in the fight for the podium, the Brazilian driver is fourth under the checkered flag, however in the post-race he gets a five-second penalty for his front spoiler in the incorrect position. Roberto Profico (Tony Kart Racing Team), always running at the top throughout the weekend – thus confirming the performance achieved by Nicastro - finishes in the top ten, in a race that also sees Hugo Marreiros (Marreiros, Hugo), Victor Jimenez (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Carlos Fonseca (Tony Kart Racing Team) at the starting grid.

KZ - After the pole position obtained at the Champions of the Future Euro Series Shifters, the VTZ engine is once again at the starting tapes of the master category of the shifter karts. Lorenzo Camplese (Tony Kart Racing Team) is fifth in the single session of the chrono practices and eighth in the intermediate ranking of Saturday night, however the final is stingy with satisfaction for him. Marijn Kremers (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Francesco Celenta (Tony Kart Racing Team) show off with two comebacks of nine and seven positions respectively, while Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart Racing Team) returns to the track after a long break due to an injury.

KZ2 - With more than one hundred entries in total, the VTZ engine is able to achieve the best time (1:10.380) in the Group 2 of the qualifying heats with Genis Civico (Tony Kart Racing) and, during the qualifying heats, he collects a win, four podiums and a fastest lap with the contribution of the Spanish driver, Nicola Rossini (Tony Kart Racing) and David Walther (Tony Kart Racing). Civico enters the final starting from the second row on the grid and fights relentlessly for the top positions and finally ending his weekend in the top-10 list.
