On the occasion of the last round of the FIA Karting European Championship in Cremona for the OK-OKJ categories, the VTS engine wins the final in the 'Senior' class with Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart Racing Team).

OK – After the pole position and the podium recorded on the occasion of the last Champions of the Future Euro Series competition, our VTS engine imposes itself in the fourth round of the European championship. Already in qualifying, we see Vortex at the top of the ranking thanks to the second best time of Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart Racing Team) in Group 2. The Italian driver is also protagonist in the following qualifying heats, where he gains two victories, joined by David Walther (Koski Motorsport) with a third place.

Also in the final, Coluccio is among the top drivers in the "Senior" category. The Tony Kart Racing Team’s driver gains the second place in the first lap already, after which he is able to take advantage of the "slow" phase - imposed by the race direction due to an accident - to consolidate his position. At the restart, Coluccio wastes no time and takes the lead of the race, not to let go until the chequered flag. A clear victory, that of Coluccio, who enhances the skills of the Vortex VTS engine, perfectly at ease on the selective Cremona track.

Walther, on his part, gains six positions in the standings and crosses the finishing line in seventh place. Despite a 5-second penalty for an incorrectly positioned front fairing, the Danish driver still remains in the Top 10. Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart Racing Team) performs a formidable comeback of not less than 21 positions from the start, but the Polish driver also suffers a 5-second penalty for the same reason as Walther’s. Roland Kuklane (Ward Racing), Sebastiano Pavan (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Aleksandar Bogunovic (Tony Kart Racing Team) also take part in the race.

The final championship balance sees a total of 5 victories, 12 podiums and a fastest lap in the qualifying heats, 2 Top-3 results and a "best lap" in the Super Heats, and finally a success and 2 podiums in the final.

OKJ - The VTJ engine shows off in Friday morning's free practices with the fourth best time set by Maria Germano Neto (Tony Kart Racing Team) in the second group, while in the qualifying heats it obtains a third place as best result thanks to Scott Kin Lindblom (Tony Kart Racing Team).

The Swedish driver performs a remarkable comeback of 12 positions in Sunday afternoon's final, a performance that earns him a place in the Top 10. Oliver Kinnmark (Koski Motorsport) also climbs up the ranking by 12 positions and finishes close to the Top 10. Joel Pohjola (Ward Racing), Elliot Kaczynski (Ward Racing), Davide Bottaro (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Neto are also at the starting grid. The excellent comebacks of several of our drivers highlight the performance level guaranteed by the VTJ engine and partly soften the disappointment at not having collected (due to collisions and unfortunate race events) a top result within the reach of Vortex.

During the course of the championship, Vortex achieves 5 victories, 15 podiums and a fastest lap in the qualifying heats, plus a further Top-3 position in the Super Heats.
