An intense, exciting weekend, with many turns of events, thrilling moments, euphoria, disappointment, forbidden shots, emotions, victories, defeats, show, penalties, podiums, friendships, aperitivo, interviews and much more.
Three days of sports, qualifying sessions, heats, pre-finals and finals allowed us to find out who are the 2024 international champions, our world champions: Simone Seveso (Easykart 60 and Under 10), Nicolas Ari (Easykart 100), Alessandro De Gaetano (Easykart 125), Rudolf Patai (Easykart Senior), Giuseppe Gaglianò (BMB Challenge), Kevin Cancelli (TM Kart Challenge R1) and Filippo Calligaris (TM Kart Challenge R2).
On the podium, Luigi Cuneo, Mayor of the Municipality of Castrezzato, Valerio Fogliata, Councilor for Urban Planning and Public Works of the Municipality of Castrezzato, and Marco Artunghi, Councilor of the Municipality of Castrezzato.
An intense weekend also in the paddock with the Easykart village that took shape again this year, especially on Saturday: starting with the pole position awards ceremony and the presence of Riccardo Longhi, Christian Bertuca and continuing with the super Ap-Easy and party to close the evening.
60 Academy: 14 young drivers protagonists at the International Final
Also at the International Final, the 60 Academy was one of the protagonists of the show with the classic race format of this category: the theoretical meeting with the Instructor Sabino De Castro, the race phases and the awards ceremony together with the other drivers.
Easykart 60: Simone Seveso overall champion and in Under 10
A lively and uncertain final until beyond the finish line: many changes of positions during and after the race and five drivers in the space of a second under the chequered flag. The one to climb onto the highest step of the overall podium was the Italian driver Simone Seveso ahead of Pietro Zorzi, both in the Under 10 class – another proof of the competitiveness of both U10 and the overall class. David Kapitany from Hungary was on the third step of the podium, fourth place for Téo Pelfrene from Portugal (third in the U10 classification), fifth place for the Venezuelan driver Efrain Campos, first at the finish line but penalized by three seconds for an accident. Fastest lap by Riccardo Cassani.
Lola Mukhammadiyev won the Final B, second place for Andrea Baraggi, third for Dominik Stegmar.
Tommaso D’Ambrosio was first after the heats, while the national champion Edoardo Galimberti took the overall pole position, Pietro Zorzi took it in the U10.
Easykart 100: Nicolas Ari champion
Another intense final until the end with many overtakes and turn of events, but in the end, it was Nicolas Ari who took the crown of the international champion and he finished ahead of other two Italian drivers Lorenzo Pignanelli and Luigi Cocchianella, second and third respectively. On the fourth step of the podium there was the Venezuelan Uwe Teppa Herrera and on the fifth David Requena from Switzerland. Fastest lap by Ari.
Andrii Kruglyk won the Prefinale and was first after the two heats. Pole position for Luigi Cocchianella.
Easykart 125: Alessandro De Gaetano overall champion, Rudolf Patai in Senior
A lot of suspense and uncertainty until the chequered flag, with the first five drivers in just 1”097. Alessandro De Gaetano took home the biggest cup after an excellent performance and he finished ahead of Alessio Guazzaroni, a title contender until the last centimetres of the last lap and author of the fastest lap, and Riccardo Pollastri, winner of the Italian trophy. Marco Pirovano won the Prefinal, while Guazzaroni took the first place after the merge of the heats. Pole position for Francesco Ruga.
In Senior, the Hungarian driver Rudolf Patai won the most important race of the year, as well as he was first after the heats and took pole position. Second place for the other Hungarian Ferenc Marcz, winner of the Prefinal, third for Rosolino Caralla from Italy.
BMB Challenge: Giuseppe Gaglianò champion
Tension was at its highest, in the Prefinal and especially Final the drivers in front literally battled at every lap to achieve a position on the podium. At the end of the Final, the title was won by the Italian driver Giuseppe Gaglianò, second place for Mattia Vischi from Italy, third spot for Aleksander Bogunovic from Slovenia. Fastest lap for Marco Maestranzi.
P1 for Andrea Calabrese in the Prefinal, while the best driver at the end of the Heats was Marco Maestranzi. Pole position for Gaglianò.
TM Kart Challenge R1: Kevin Cancelli champion
Another great final was the one given to us by the R1 guys, with the victory hanging in the balance until the chequered flag. Kevin Cancelli won by just 0”254 over Gabriele Leggio, while Ferruccio Alacqua climbed to the third step of the podium. Fastest lap for Leonardo Giacomelli.
Alaqua was first in the Prefinal and at the end of the heats, pole position for the national champion Leonardo Giacomelli.
TM Kart Challenge R2: Filippo Calligaris champion
The last final of the Grand Final was reserved for the R2 and there was no shortage of show here too: Filippo Calligaris won, second position for Andrea Pirovano, third for Thomas Consonni. Fastest lap for Massimiliano Pezzucchi.
Calligaris also won the Prefinal and was also the best at the end of the heats, while Christian Cobellini claimed pole position.
With the Easykart Trophy and the International Final in the books, the Easykart Circus will now meet in Lissone on Friday 22 November for the Easykart Trophy official awards ceremony and in Cremona on 30 November / 1 December for the Winter Trophy.
Stay racing, stay happy… and think Easy!
