FIA Karting European Championship: In OK and OK-Junior, Kart Republic wins in all conditions!
TKART Staff
27 June 2026

The third of four rounds of the FIA European Karting Championship in the OK and OK-Junior categories saw changeable weather conditions throughout the three official days of competition. KR Motorsport and the teams racing under the KR-IAME banner braved all the challenges encountered at the Arena E in Mülsen to win both Finals. In Germany, Will Green took the win in OK-Junior, whilst Zac Drummond and Oliver Kinmark secured a one-two in OK. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Kart Republic brand has secured the European Championship title in OK-Junior even before the end of the Championship, scheduled for early August in Sweden.

OK: Drummond / Schaufler: KR-IAME succeeds another!
Following Noah Baglin’s (KR Motorsport) two victories in Italy and Spain, the British driver retains the lead in the European Championship. But this time, victory went to Zac Drummond (Fusion Motorsport), who had a very solid weekend: three wins in the Qualifying Heats, 1st place in Super Heat B and, to top it off, the points for the win, bringing him back to within 23 points of Baglin. Following a collision, the latter was only 17th at the start of the Final, before fighting his way back to 7th with a strong performance.

Nicklas Schaufler (DPK Racing) thought he had the win in the bag, but a penalty dropped him to 5th. He has, however, moved up to 3rd in the overall standings. Like Drummond and Schaufler, Oliver Kinmark (VDK Racing) was among the winners in the Qualifying Heats and confirmed his form by finishing 2nd in the Final.

OK-Junior: Winner Green to target European title against Miron Lorente and Nuvolini
As in OK, the competitiveness of the KR-IAME teams was clearly demonstrated on the unusual Mülsen track in the Juniors. Thanks to the excellent overall result, only Will Green, Daniel Miron Lorente and Many Nuvolini can mathematically claim the FIA Karting European Championship crown on 2nd August in Kristianstad.

From Friday to Sunday, it was a KR-IAME onslaught at the front of the field: five Qualifying Heats won by Will Green (KR Motorsport), two by Daniel Miron Lorente (Fusion Motorsport), and one each by Santiago Diaz de la Vega (KR Motorsport), Priam Bruno (VictoryLane), Niccolo Perico (KR Motorsport) and Oliver Spencer (Fusion Motorsport). Green and Miron Lorente confirmed their form by each winning a Super Heat. As for the conditions, the Final resembled that of the Juniors, with drivers on slick tyres forced to cope with rain, which made the race very unpredictable, with several incidents and penalties.

Miron Lorente thus found himself in 4th place ahead of Nuvolini, even though he thought he had won the race. Green ultimately left Germany with the victory. In total, there were six KR-IAME entries in the top 12, with Antoine Sylva Venant (VDK Racing) in 8th, Niccolo Perico in 9th and Lorenzo Di Pietrantonio (KR Motorsport) in 11th. Bruno and Diaz de la Vega, however, were less successful, despite starting in 2nd and 3rd.

Comment from Dino Chiesa, head of KR Global Motorsport Company
“We’ve won both categories; we’re mathematically assured of the European Championship title in OK-Junior and we’re in a very strong position to be crowned champions in OK. Our equipment is extremely competitive and our drivers have once again demonstrated that. The hard work has paid off and we’ll continue our efforts ahead of the finale in Sweden, but also for the World Championship as soon as we know where it will be held.
As was the case last week, the technical stewards carried out numerous checks and the absence of any issues shows that the whole paddock is working in a very professional manner. I also note that the combination of the Mülsen circuit and the changeable weather conditions led to chaotic Finals. The decisions taken show that we all need to put our heads together to improve the current situation.”
