Simo Puhakka came second in the final of the KZ class in Adria, where Vortex was also very close to the KZ2 podium and successfully completed the first round of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy.

KZ: Vortex concluded the first round of the FIA Karting European Championship valid for the highest gear class with the second final place of Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart Racing Team), the absolute star of the weekend. Already on Friday, the RSZ and RTZ engines helped Puhakka achieve the second-best time in the qualifiers, which allowed him to be at the top of the standings at the end of the Qualifying Heats in which the Finn won twice, achieved a second place and a fast lap. The second place achieved in the final confirmed the excellent performance of the Vortex engines, which with Puhakka is now also second in the overall championship standings.

Noah Milell (Tony Kart Racing Team) was also in the limelight with the engines of the OTK Kart Group, an excellent sixth place in the final with two positions recovered and fifth in the championship, thanks also to the two top ten finishes achieved in the Qualifying Heats.

Lorenzo Camplese (SC Performance) was confirmed among the fastest drivers in the class: the Italian was fifth at the end of the Qualifying Heats and already very fast in the qualifiers where he used his Vortex engine to record the fourth best time.

KZ2: Vortex came very close to the KZ2 podium with Paavo Tonteri (SC Performance), one of the most competitive drivers on the grid right from the start. The Finn was in fact third in the qualifiers, while, in the Qualifying Heats, he took advantage of the performance of the RSZ and RTZ engines to take him to fourth place in the rankings, also achieving a victory and two second places.

FIA KARTING ACADEMY TROPHY: For the fifth consecutive year, the OTK Kart Group put its know-how at the service of the drivers of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy, the single-make championship wanted by the FIA to facilitate access to international karting for young talent aged between 12 and 14 chosen by the ASNs of their country and from all over the world. Once again this year, the drivers were able to compete with each other by taking advantage of the speed and ease of use of the Junior class Vortex engines.

The hard-fought final was won by the American Connor Zilisch, followed on the podium by Maxime Furon-Castelain from Luxembourg and Jonathan Weywadt from Denmark.
