DR Racing, a brand founded by 5-time world champion Danilo Rossi, has a product range ranging from chassis for the MINI classes to those for the Junior and Senior classes, for adults. On the occasion of the 2022 approval cycle (the first following the regulatory changes made by FIA Karting in 2018, to learn more we recommend "Dossier | FIA approvals: what they are, what they are for, how long they last... the ultimate guide!") the Italian company has confirmed and renewed its models intended for kart drivers aged 11-12 and over. In a dedicated article, in the "Under examination" section, we analysed the J90 chassis, also renewed compared to the previous version. In this "First analysis", we instead relate all the news regarding the S97, M99 and M92 models (summaries for "Salbris 1997"; “Mariembourg 1999 and 1992”) which, like all chassis of the DR Racing Kart range, tell a piece of sporting history of the founder of the Italian company (to partially go into more detail, read "Dossier | The kart champions of the 80s and 90s"). These are three chassis that share a common geometry of the body, which has not however, been changed compared to the past (apart from some changes that we will highlight). How are they different? In the diameter of the tubes they are made of: the M92 is made entirely of 32 mm tubes; the M99 features 30 mm stringers and 32 mm crosspieces; finally, the S97 model has all 30 mm tubes. We had already covered them previously (read "First Analysis | DR Racing: the range is complete"), But now they are back on the market renewed. Let's see how.
